Certified Indoor Environmentalist (CIE)
This course is the most comprehensive indoor air quality (IAQ) program. In this program you will learn about the wide spectrum of indoor contaminants that can affect occupants of all types of buildings. You will learn how to find the problems, fix them and prevent them from ever happening again. Sections on contaminants, HVAC, building science and standards will deepen your understanding of the built environment. This course is designed for environmental consultants, HVAC professionals, property inspectors, industrial hygienists and others. The course is offered in two formats: CIE On-site and CIE Online.

Certified Microbial Investigator (CMI)
This program trains students on how to investigate a property for moisture and mold problems. Not only will you learn the fundamentals of microbiology and building science, but you'll learn how to apply this knowledge to the field. You will learn how to perform a methodical walk-through inspection, utilize instruments to measure building parameters, and sample suspected problems when appropriate. You not only learn how to take samples, but also why to take samples and how to interpret the results. This course is designed for mold inspectors, home inspectors, environmental consultants and industrial hygienists. The course is offered in two formats: CMI On-site and CMI Online.

Certfied Indoor Air Quality Manager (CIAQM)
The CIAQM course is designed for facility managers, property managers, health and safety officers, building engineers, maintenance staff or anyone dealing with indoor air quality issues on a single property or campus. Unlike consultants that will visit a building for a few hours, in-house staff must deal with the personal side of indoor air quality complaints. In the CIAQM course, you will learn how to handle complaints and diagnose, solve and prevent IAQ problems. This course is offered in two formats: CIAQM On-site and CIAQM Online.

Fundamentals Courses
If you don't meet the experience requirements to get certified, but you are interested in learning some of the fundamentals, we have two excellent online courses for you. The first is the 11-hour Fundamentals of Indoor Air Quality, a simplified and scaled down version of our CIE Course. The second is 8-hour Fundamentals of Mold Inspection, a simplified and scaled down version of our CMI Course. Both of these courses are $450.
